Talari Addis is a purpose-driven garment manufacturing business preserving artisanal hand-weaving by focusing on quality, sustainability, and storytelling.
Amongst other duties, my role at Talari included collateral development for print, social and digital distribution.
Most graphic and print material created features a 'tilet,' a decorative pattern hand-woven on higher-finish fabrics. Traditionally, 'tilet' is made from shiny/lustering thread and is used to signify spiritual, cultural, tribal, or economic affiliations; however, current garment producers have moved away from illustrating meaning in favour of aesthetics.
'Tilet' is used as part of Talari's visual branding to indicate the Ethiopian-centric design philosophy and dedication to high-quality garments.
