Nottingham Motor Company Branding

From research i found in the Motor Industry they very rarely have the actual brand name on the cars, usually the brands have an icon that represents the brands name which is easily recognisable. On the other hand there was the use of a script text but as a logo this would only work if it was only the use of one word. Unfortunatly the company's name is too long to just use text, it would look untidy when used on a website.
Clean, Sharp, Professional Inspiration
I researched online on what logo styles were currently trending and from my findings the minimal, crisp, sharp look is very in style. I collected a few examples that i liked and that i thought would inspire me to create my own. For a car company it may seem a little too simple but i am confident it will give the company a clean, sleek, sharp, professional look when added to business cards and website design.
i decided against cluttering the logo with unnecessary text and i wanted to use the initials of the comapny to create an interesting logo. In the motor industry you usually tie a logo to a brand name so i aimed to create a logo that would be easily recognisable. I created a few ideas but none of them really grabbed my attention as being a Motor Company's logo.
I had been playing around with the letters N and M and trying to create some interesting angles and shapes, in my eyes the shapes i created were quite interesting and unique but the logo itself didn't say ' this is a motor company's logo ' if you saw it you would'nt immediatly think, ah motor industry. So i went back to the drawing board still sticking with using the letters, i researched more into what was trending at the minute and i noticed people were using a lot of negative space, so i took the letter 'N' and played around with negative space and the next 3 logos were what i came up with.
I was more pleased with how these logos turned out, they are clean, minimal, sharp and scream professional. These logos can easily be used in any colour way of choice, look clean and professional on letter heads, buisness cards and brochures. They can also be easily used on banners and websites as the logo is not too busy or too detailed and when made smaller you can still identify it without it being distorted in any way. Perfect for any use.
I mocked up some simple buisness cards to show how clean and sharp they look.
I also mocked up what the logo would look like if it was to be used in advertising and this logo does sit well within the motor industry like a new car, it's slick, sharp and clean, you could say it has the traits you would look for in a car. I think it fits it's purpose well.
