Transit in South Park, Park County, Colorado
Time to drift off the real world for a little while with this new homemade transit schematic, shall we?
Surely you know the wickedly irreverent South Park animated sitcom - created by Trey Parker and Matt Stone - which has now been running for 23 consecutive years... or maybe you don't and this map will offer a first glimpse into the sarcastic universe of the series.
Anyways, being myself a long-time follower of the show, I haven't failed to notice one thing that actually became the very starting point for creating the map
Most episodes contain at least one scene where you can see the main characters - four school boys named Eric Cartman, Stan Marsh, Kyle Broflovski and Kenny McCormick - discussing at a bus stop while waiting for a bus that seems to never show up...
So I thought I might as well give those little fellas some help on the way, imagining a streetcar network for the small Colorado town they call home
I loosely based the layout for the network on the quite rare depictions of the town I could find, like screenshots from random episodes or maps from the video game.
Then it sort of came together little by little in my head...
As for stops' names, they are either locations appearing through episodes or derived from characters and situations occurring in the show
I had tremendous fun making that map so all I can say now is: enjoy y'all
