As part of an agile team I was able to work as an interface designer for a touch screen application for health counseling professionals. The application was meant to be used by counselors to capture notes from patient interviews.
PROJECT FOCUS
The main objective of this application was to be invisible. The most valuable part of the process for the users is listening to their patients and recording their behavior. We built a grid that allowed for large, bright touch points with clear language and iconography, for every part of the app. It was important a user was never distracted by the interface but always focused on their patients and seamlessly record their data.
RESULTS DRIVEN
Through extensive substance abuse rehabilitation research practitioners not only knew the patterns of a patient most likely to fall on dependence, but also the behavior of those that remained less at risk. With our application our clients were able to visually monitor patterns and easily identify early warning signs.
