Project
Teamwork: Bonnie Chung and Jenn Beretta
This is the originial plan: an empty box with two fixed pillars and three windows.
The door on the left hand side gives access to the storage room and staff private room.
Nothing could be demolished in this project.
The idea was to implement the Secret Garden concept in the plan by using natural curvy shapes, pathways and hidden doors.
The key element in this plan is the entrance tunnel and the multi-purpose stage.
The entrance tunnel aims to prepare the customer before he/she enter the Dior environment. It is the transition between the outside and the inside. It has an Experiential Marketing function: its colors, lights, perfumes and delicate music are there to stimulate senses and emotions.
It is made of translucent corian with laser cut petal shapes and illuminated from the inside with light creamy and pink color gradients.
Both entrance tunnel and stage can be moved around, transformed or removed to offer more flexibility to the shop.
