TANGJINXING

This is a Intangible cultural heritage in Wenzhou. Pomegranate, called "jinxing" in Wenzhou dialect. Sugar pomegranate are made by dyeing white sugar red, frying them into a thick juice, and pressing them into a pomegranate shape with a mold. It is said that it was originally pure white because food coloring was not available at the time. In the future, with people's love for red and people doing happy events, red is generally regarded as a symbol of auspiciousness, prosperity, and joy.
