This is 40 Berkley which is a Hostel located in Boston.  Here is a rendered version of my intervention

This is the intervention that I wanted to add.  40 Berkley was missing what was most important in a Hostel, the social aspect.  I created a grand staircase that had social spaces attached to to promote socilaizing and movement within the building.

This is the Lobby of 40 Berkley.  I added another entrance and a cafe along the right side of the building to promote more customers whether they are a resident or not.

I created 4 different types of rooms to cater to the different residences staying: Orange- Permanent residence, Purple- Travelers, Blue- Students, Green- SRO women
