Morning Glory | Final Project
My project deals with the visual impairment in my left eye called "Morning Glory Syndrome", a disability that affects the development of the optic nerve. Since birth I can't see with my left eye.
In the project I present the difficulty and struggle that has accompanied me from childhood until today. I chose to use the mandala pattern whose repetition and characteristic round structure correspond with the structure of the pupil; each mandala I illustrated depicts a different difficulty.
Through illustration of the situations, I turned the non-functioning eye into an active one, into a story teller.
My personal experience in the learning process at WIZO was to show that despite the handicap and difficulty it is possible to succeed in what you want and love.
