THE LADY WITH THE DOG

THE LADY WITH THE DOG
150х150 Canvas, acrylic paint

The undertones of this photo shoot will be undoubtedly clear to those who have already read the description of my painting "Lady with a Dog". The protest against routine in family life, the close attention to the beautiful half protecting the beloved one from having affairs - all these messages are hidden in the details of "Lady with a Dog". The photo shoot is complementary to the general idea. It gives more symbols for better understanding. The atmosphere of the photo shoot was inspired by the famous Helmut Newton black-and-white photograph, referring to the greatest works of Chekhov.
Emphatically aristocratic interior in discreet light colors. A riot of colors in the picture, as sharp as a slap in the face. In this contrasting environment the heroine is preparing for a role-playing game, where she will “saddle” her beau with the same ease. But where is he, her man, who allows himself a little more than is customary for “civilized society” and considers this as a cure for boredom?
Waiting for him, she is biting into a ripe apple. She is transforming into Eve, seducing Adam, into Chekhov fan “Antonovka”, venerating the genius of the great writer. And in a couple of moments, the apple will become a gag in a dangerous love game, where they have everything but routine.
