MINIMA-LEGANT PART 2
Farm-to-Table Concept Store
(Design done in 2021)
This project curated three local artisans, the chef, the potter, and the farmer. The idea intended to propose a farm-to-table concept while helping the local community raise awareness. It continues the design development from the previous project, "Pop-up Store," by implementing the beauty of joints and the combination of flexibility, layering, and levelling to enrich the dining experience. As Penang has limited land, the vertical farming technology might assist solve these concerns. It embraced the farm-to-table concept and surrounded every dining table in the restaurant. The system grows and expands from the inside to the outside by expanding the structure beyond the building.
The programme allows users to experience the flexibility of the room by walking into the cube, which lifts by the mechanism mounted on top and then released down for them to leave.
