This piece was created for Atomhawk’s competition with the prompt ‘Forgotten Creation’. My inspiration was the Caves of Drach I visited in Mallorca. The amazing ambiance gave the feeling that you had discovered a lost world. A key element is the rock carvings created by an ancient civilisation and I tried to include folklore about the caves, including dragons guarding a treasure trove and a Spanish myth of magic water women, called Aloja.
