Borzoi is made in mixed technique. The body, tops of the legs and tail are made of two types of faux fur. Paws and muzzle are felted of wool, impregnated with a special compound. There is a skeleton inside the body. Legs are reinforced with wire and attached to the body with cotter pins. Eyes are glass. The nose is molded of polymer self-hardening clay.
