This perfect mix of rich and full-bodied colors makes Blend a one-of-a-kind experience.
Produced collecting only reduced fields of view, Blend comes from the colorful canals of Burano, the most colorful island of Venice. The result is deep layers of color that alternate reflecting the surrounding landscape, all wrapped in a blue, sky-colored cloak.

The island of Burano is an indisputable masterpiece, positioned among the ten most colorful cities. Its history was documented around 840. At the time, the houses were on stilts made of reeds and mud, erected by the inhabitants to escape the barbarian invasions. They introduced the first brick houses around the year thousand and definitively joined the municipality of Venice in 1923.

Burano is also famous for the artisan production of lace, whose history dates back to the sixteenth century. The local legend tells us of a brave fisherman who has resisted the song of a siren in the name of her beautiful woman. As a gift for the courage and dedication shown, he would have received a foam crown from the Queen of the waves to adorn his bride. Her friends would try to imitate him, thus starting a school of centenary tradition.

With Blend, we decided to show Burano in a different way. A full immersion in an unstructured path of colored houses turned into fluid and abstract images through the use of water as the main element.
