Snow on Playgrounds is an exploration of the softness of winter snow upon the hard metal and plastic surfaces of brightly colored playgrounds. The two blankets aim to capture the unique light and contrasting matte and reflective surfaces through material quality of the piece and time of day. All drafted and woven on an eight harness handloom, this project is an exercise in the process of sampling on the loom to develope a hand woven finished product.
