Ukrainian ceramics: jug and pots from biomaterial

These jug and pots are the result of research into the history of Ukrainian ceramics and the development of its technologies.

In this project we rethink the technology of ceramics, using 3D printing technology and materials
of natural origin: starch, miscanthus, and vegetable wax. This combination gives space for reflection
on the possibilities of using uncommon materials in everyday life, as well as recycling materials
for a more ecological and harmonious existence in the world.
Vases appear in sustained pastel colors that remind us of the colors of Ukraine -  the color of clay
and the mown grass. Patterns on jugs and pots have natural motifs: flowers, a sown field
(a sign of fertility), and wicker reeds.

The project is designed to explore Ukrainian culture and introduce it to the audience.
During the Russian-Ukrainian full-scale war, when people from other countries learn about Ukraine from photos of destroyed cities and killed people, it is vital to show the other side of Ukraine -
its culture.
