While looking for a close-up subject a cactus gives me an idea for this image. I challenge myself to capture texture, correct lighting, and find shadows from natural light.
After taking this picture I use Camera Raw to color correct, fix up the texture settings to make it clear, and raise up the lighting a little bit to match with the exposure.
