AncientLands/Dream Lands Series:  This work evolved from anidea about examining a specimen or sample of landscape and experiencing theburied history of all that came before us whether real or imagined.  Originally inspired by Facebookpostings by an archeologist friend of mine about his experiences in the field,I continued to process the idea and created work that has a feeling ofsomething ancient, historical or geological in content yet without any specificlocation it becomes almost dream like. There is a visual experience of thepatterns in nature that arecaptured in a “slice” of landscape at any given time.  Each “slice” or “fragment” is experienced in our “now”moment of time and therefore we make it a reality through our experience of it.
