"Other: Outside In" is a dance piece exploring the power of ritual and spiritual experience in shaping the self. In the piece, a traveler comes across three mysterious figures - at first, she timidly observes them as they retreat from her, but eventually she is accepted into their ritual community. Shape and form were essential here, forming the contrast between the sleek, modern lines of the traveler and the draping, flowing movement of the mysterious figures - but also a resemblance that beomes more clear as the piece continues.
