Commissioned by Bang! Bang! Studio, I drew illustrations for the ABC. The poems were written by Viktor Skibin, a children's writer and poet. I was lucky that the author chose me as an illustrator. Azbuka introduces children and adults to the unique city of St. Petersburg. Tells about its sights, rich history and cozy atmosphere. I drew 40 illustrations about the city where I was only once! I had to dig deep on the Internet in search of references. I walked around Google Maps looking at streets, bridges, houses and squares. I visited online museums to get to know the exhibits better. There are wonderful museums in Saint Petersburg. It's my first time drawing so much architecture - it's a super rewarding experience, I really enjoyed it. A few months later I went to St. Petersburg for 2 weeks. Running through museums, streets, cafes and bridges, it seemed to me that I had been living here for a long time, everything was already so familiar to me!
