TATE Liverpool Composition

This is my poster to promote the online exhibiton. I experimented a lot with choosing a photo to use on the poster but in the end I chose the best one which showed their love and affection for eachother. The concept behind this is to do with their complex, confusing and can be seen as weird relationship, I tried to show this by adding the lines across the photo and adding different shades of colours, some darker shades of colour representing darker sader times in their lives and relationship and some lighter colours representing happier times. The logo is designed to show their endless love for eachother, even when not together.
This would be the homepage of the microsite on the Tate Liverpool website. The idea behind it is when you click on any section of Patti Smith it would direct you to her page and the same with Robert Mapplethorpe.
The design of the page is fairly simple but still uses the image used throughout however it blocks out Roberts photo showing that your on Patti Smiths page. The design is then the same on Roberts page but is the opposite way around, the idea behind this was showing how they were complete opposites yet they came together somehow, therefore I wanted the design of the page to be on opposite sides for each of them.
