Studies of a starred polyhedron, in wood and metal.
The wooden star, made out of a singular section of a log, reduced with a table saw and sawn into shape by hand, polished with fine-grit sandpaper.
The metal star was composited out of steel plates that were hand sawn, forming 8 equilateral triangles mounted together to form the solid.
The second metal polyhedron was made out of a meter and a half of rebar, cut in half and bent to recall the starred form.
It was not welded together, so as to be re-arranged and make other possible figures.
