CHARACHARA -ちゃらちゃら

The sophomore apparel second semester final project is to create a garment made from a print, usually given by textiles juniors. This year, all prints were donated by Nicole Miller. Students were given prints at random and told to think about usage of the print in an original garment design of their choosing. I decided to base the concept of my garment on Japanese street wear and subculture, and incorporate elements of Japanese street style into my look.

The term "charachara" is Japanese slang meaning "overly stylish" or "flashy".
