This year, I made the Munken Journal mine by designing my own personal cover using an amazing range of paper stocks and finishes. I used cmyk printing on a 120gsm white gold Curious Metalic Board. The concept was created by the use of paper itself in a design context. These days a lot of paper goes to waste. In the same time there is nothing more beautiful than a well designed layout on a special paper which was considered carefully to compliment the design.
This quote inspired me personally as a designer and reminded me of the significant importance of paper in a design context. It's so easy to write something down on paper especially when an idea comes to you at night.
