電梯 — 社會性空間

電梯作為日常使用的運輸工具，替代人類進行能量轉換的運行。電梯提供人類更直接的垂直移動方式，讓人們的短程移動不再僅限於水平維度，讓我們得以與他人進行垂直方向上的交流，突破原先與自身性質相似、同等模式的水平流通。從搭乘樓層升降至目的地樓層，可以透過多種可能路徑達成。其中囊括各種變數、能量、訊號，多元路徑的生產與揉雜，在固定的起終點之下，過程有無限可能。

Elevator - social space

Elevators are used as a means of transportation for everyday use, replacing human beings in the operation of transformations of energy. Elevators provide a more direct way for humans to move vertically, allowing people to move short distances without being limited to the horizontal dimension. They allow us to communicate with others in a vertical direction, breaking away from the horizontal circulation that was previously similar in nature and in the same mode as ourselves. Lifting and lowering from the floor where you are riding to the floor where you are going can be accomplished through a variety of possible paths. This includes a variety of variables, energies, signals, multiple paths of production and complexity, and infinite possibilities for the process under a fixed starting and ending point.

黑盒子 — 內部混雜而不可揭露

而黑盒子概念為在一連串的運算機制與分析判斷之中，只需關注輸入與輸出端，也就是因果關係的因與果，中間過程不一定是需要了解的。對應到人的行為反應來說，我們著重的點在於環境產生的「刺激」與引發行為的「反應」，也就是輸入端與輸出端，行為者內部心理狀態被視為一個處理過程，無法探究。如果進一步將電梯的空間性及社會性，與黑盒子概念進行對照的話，電梯與黑盒子同樣的表現為「過程的斷裂」：搭乘電梯從身處樓層至目的地樓層的過程，如同黑盒子的輸入端與輸出端，也如同刺激與反應，兩個端點的轉移、處理、內部歷程都包裹於黑盒子內部。

The Black Box - the inner complexity that cannot be revealed

The concept of black box is that in a series of computational mechanisms and analytical judgments, only the input and output side, that is, the cause and effect of the cause-and-effect relationship, need to be concerned, and the intermediate process does not necessarily need to be understood. In the case of human behavioral responses, we focus on the "stimulus" generated by the environment and the "response" induced by the behavior, i.e., the input and output sides, and the internal psychological state of the actor is regarded as a processing process that cannot be explored. If we further contrast the spatial and social nature of elevators with the concept of black box, elevators and black boxes are similarly represented as " fractures of process": the process of taking an elevator from the floor where you are to the floor where you want to go is like the input and output sides of a black box, also like stimulus and response, the transfer, processing and internal processes of both ends are wrapped inside the black box.

電梯．黑盒子．搭乘者 — 空間產製社交姿態

自身作為新進入搭乘者或是原先搭乘者，就如同介入他人的轉換過程、被他人介入自身的轉換過程。而這些關係也會顯化於電梯中人們的行為，因為電梯賦予的空間狹窄性，以及時間的短暫性。在這一段不短不長的時間中，因為被迫需要近距離與陌生人接觸，無形間形成的不自然與緊迫感，促使人們產生一系列的社交姿態，並會因為內在的心理狀態與空間之間的調和，逐漸形成在電梯中一股隨機的流動。因此，電梯空間與人的身體機制，皆是一種黑盒子，無從得知且交疊各種隨機。

Elevator．Black Box．Passenger - social gestures produced in space

As a new passenger or a former passenger, one is involved in the process of transition of others and is involved in the process of transition of oneself by others. These relationships are also manifested in the behavior of people in the elevator because of the narrow space and the temporary duration of the elevator. During this period of time, people are forced to come into close contact with strangers, and the unnatural and tight feeling formed invisibly prompts people to produce a series of social gestures, which will gradually form a random flow in the elevator due to the reconciliation between the inner psychological state and the space. Therefore, the elevator space and the mechanism of the human body are both a kind of black box, unknowable and overlapping with various randomness.

電磁波 — 變數的交融共振

電磁波於此是一種揭露隱蔽於內在歷程的語言，原先物理上的意涵（能量、訊號）在此轉換為「變數」的角色；電磁波在如同黑盒子般的電梯裡相互揉雜、交融、共振；探測電磁波的行為就如同人們企圖探測「未知」的動作。聲步路徑規則設定為隨機站位，參與者的「隨機」將因此與電梯空間的「隨機」相互結合，共同反映於電磁波之上。

Electromagnetic Waves - the blend and resonance of variables

Electromagnetic waves are here a language that reveals the hidden inner process, where the original physical meaning (energy, signal) is transformed into the role of "variables." Electromagnetic waves are mixed, blended and resonated in the black box like an elevator; the act of detecting electromagnetic waves is like the action of people trying to detect the "unknown". The rules of the soundwalking path are set to randomly stand, so the "randomness" of the participants will be combined with the "randomness" of the elevator space and reflected on the electromagnetic waves together.

在此聲步計劃之中，手持裝有電磁波模塊的黑盒子進行探測，就如同體驗在黑盒子中混沌的狀態，也同步感受他人的黑盒子歷程、轉換過程。參與者配備包含黑盒子與環景相機，並依循指南進入電梯進行實踐，途中依循路徑規則應變搭乘過程中產生的變數。並同時錄製聲響與影像，最終完成計畫並交由發起人剪輯成歷程影像。

In this soundwalking project, holding a black box with electromagnetic wave modules for exploration is like experiencing the chaos in a black box, and also feeling the process of other people's black box experiences and transitions simultaneously. Participants are equipped with a black box and a panoramic camera, and follow the guide to enter the elevator for practice, and follow the rules of the path on the way to deal with the variables generated during the ride. At the same time, the participants record sound and video, and finally complete the project and send it to the initiator to edit the video of the process.

Step.1 選擇一處電梯，並從最低樓層開始預備搭乘。

Step.2 啟動電磁波偵測黑盒子：接上電磁波模塊的電源、開啟錄音筆開始錄製，並關上盒子。

Step.3 啟動360度環景相機：開啟環景相機並與手機連結，啟動完畢後一手拿黑盒子、一手拿著環景相機。

Step.4 電磁波黑盒子與環景相機同時開始錄製，並戴著耳機聆聽電磁波聲響，按往上樓層的按鈕。

Step.5 進入電梯後，拿下耳機並持續錄製聲響與影像，並保持與往常相同的電梯搭乘習慣。

Step.6 若於搭乘途中遇到電梯門開啟，無論是否有人進出，皆移動自身步伐，隨機挑選不曾站過的位置。

Step.7 持續搭乘電梯直到頂樓，再從頂樓搭乘到最低樓層，並於過程中維持Step.5與Step.6的內容。

Step.8 電梯回到最低樓層後離開電梯，離開電梯後戴上耳機聆聽聲響，聆聽完畢後便可結束實踐，並停止錄製聲響與影像。

Step.9 完整錄製的電磁波聲響與環景影像，連同所有器材交還給計畫發起人，會再剪輯成一部電梯／黑盒子體驗的實踐歷程。

Step.1 Choose an elevator and start from the lowest floor to prepare for the ride.
Step.2 Activate the electromagnetic wave detection black box: connect the power of electromagnetic wave module, turn on the recorder and start recording, and close the box.
Step.3 Activate 360 degree surround view camera: Open the surround view camera and connect it with your cell phone, hold the black box in one hand and the surround view camera in the other after activation.
Step.4 electromagnetic wave black box and the surroundings camera began to record at the same time, and wear headphones to listen to the electromagnetic wave sound, press the button to the upper floor.
Step.5 After entering the elevator, take off the headphones and continue to record sound and video, and maintain the same elevator riding habits as usual.
Step.6 If the elevator door opens during the ride, regardless of whether someone is entering or leaving, move your pace and pick a random spot where you have not stood before.
Step.7 Continue to ride the elevator until the top floor, then ride from the top floor to the lowest floor, and maintain the contents of Step.5 and Step.6 during the process.
Step.8 Exit the elevator after returning to the lowest floor, and put on the headphones after leaving the elevator to listen to the sound.
Step.9 The complete recorded electromagnetic wave sound and surroundings video, together with all the equipment, will be returned to the project promoter, and will be edited into a practical experience of the elevator/black box.
