Violence against people engaged in acts of communion with God or simply because of their beliefs and/or race is antithetical to faith. AbdulMalik Negedu says a heart that is filled with ignorance and hatred that leads a person to commit such acts of violence is a heart that is devoid of spiritual light. Spiritual light is what helps to distinguish between right and wrong.
