Siskiyou Sungrown Cannabis

Siskiyou Sungrown Grows a New Brand
Since the 1990s, owners Cedar and Madrone Grey’s business has been on a journey to helping those with critical health conditions heal naturally. They impeccably farm high-quality cannabis plants at the edge of Southern Oregon’s Klamath-Siskiyou mountain wilderness.

By 2021, the surging recreational market exploded with new brands and varying degrees of quality, many infused with drug-culture euphemisms that confuse consumers.  With so many new cannabis brands lighting up the market, the Greys had a new opportunity to lean into what they do best.

Siskiyou Sungrown needed a redesign that expressed its premium position, integrity and difference.
Our team clarified their brand position and message within the category to emphasize their conscientious, pioneering and expert approach to cultivating cannabis outdoors with regenerative farming methods. We commissioned original botanical illustrations from artist Charlotte Day evocative of the flora and fauna of the region, and created a new, natural color palette and design system, highlighting information and leaving no package fold unturned.

The redesign has helped Siskiyou Sungrown maintain premium pricing in a cannabis market that is becoming flooded with products and lagging sales.  The new color system is helping consumers to differentiate Siskiyou products on the shelf and at home.  The new icon system educates both the bud tenders and buyers about the potency, efficacy and purity of every Siskiyou Sungrown product.
