In this mural for ExxonMobil, our playful approach pays homage to the literal phrase “energy as a building block of life”. Energy fuels mobility to embark on our daily endeavors to create flourishing communities and societies.
The design is enhanced by geometric shapes, which represent these building blocks of energy and draws inspiration from the connection between Esso and the community it serves every day. This reflects the connectedness between our community, our way of life, and the energy that powers it.
Designed to accommodate the conceptual theme of continuity, the mural contains refinery pipelines stretching across four contrasting scenarios. It is complemented by the sequence of daylight throughout the day till nightfall, from left to right of the walls.
Some of the faces behind the mural! Employees of ExxonMobil came down to paint as part of this team-building event, helping to add pops of colour to one of the Esso gas stations. The individual colour sections were marked with numbers and letters as a guide to facilitate the flow of painting.
