Week 1
What is the position of interior designers, do they need to have their own design style? These questions will be answered in my design learning career. In the first week, we learned Image Culture. The design style and form of pictures cover designers' pursuit and yearning for life. Every designer has many different styles in the collocation, but in the design, they all pursue the overall visual and structural effect and want to create a kind of feeling. In interior design stylist wants to pass creating an environment that lets a person feel comfortable, the designer should place the person to the requirement of the environment from beginning to end in the first place, include material use and spirit two respects.

Tutorial exercise 1

In Tutorial Exercise 1, I chose to look for pictures of Romance. In these pictures, I can see that red is the representative of most Romance, and Romance can be scenery, things, and some shapes.
Tutorial exercise 2
In Tutorial exercise 2 we had to choose a picture to say how we felt about the space, and I chose a supermarket because it is a space that we usually meet a lot in our daily lives, and in the design of the aisles of the supermarket:
(1) The supermarket aisle should be wide enough to ensure that customers carrying shopping baskets or pushing shopping carts can walk alongside or pass smoothly through the same customers, and that enough positions can give customers a clearer view of the various products.

(2) Permeability. Passageways should avoid labyrinthine passageways as far as possible and should be straight one-way permeable passageway design as far as possible. In the customer shopping process as far as possible in accordance with the shelf arrangement, the goods will not repeat, customers do not go back to the layout of the design, to avoid customer fatigue in shopping.

(3) The corners of the aisle should be as few as possible, sometimes with the help of continuous unfolding of uninterrupted lines of merchandise display to regulate. We can see that most retail outlets are designed to cross the line to the channel, the goods shelves are straight and neatly arranged with the two ends of the main channel.

(4) The channel should avoid dead ends. In the channel cannot be furnished, placed some and the display of goods or special promotion of non-related apparatus or equipment, so as not to block the channel of the store, damage the image of the shopping environment.
Week 2
Tutorial exercise 1
After our group's discussion, we think that people use the elevator more frequently in scene 1, because this staircase makes people's perspective look long and makes people feel tired to walk. In scene 2, most people choose the stairs, because there is a flat floor in the middle of the stairs, and it does not visually make people feel high and tired when walking. On the contrary, the elevator in scene 2 makes people feel that they need to wait for a long time, and they can reach the second floor during the waiting process.
After the discussion in our group, our double buttons are generally in eye-catching positions, unlike the knobs, which need to be prompted and cannot be seen by users. The size of the toilet button also conveys the meaning of the amount of water. At the same time, the different size of the button is designed because it is impossible for people to use text to match each other in the position of the toilet button, so the different size of the button can better remind people.
The venue I designed is for people to dance in the square. People can dance in the circular dance floor, and I designed some chairs and tables next to it, so that people can sit beside and rest when they are tired from dancing. This venue is different from other dance venues with fixed requirements. Square dance is the largest system of dance art, which is named for its gathering in squares. It integrates self-entertainment and performance, with group dance as the main performance form and entertainment as the main purpose.
Week 4
Ambience Board
Tut exercise 1

Writing a descriptive essay
My name is Kathy and I have met a new friend who I think is the best friend I have ever had in my life. Her name is Kylie. Kylie lost her parents at a young age and was brought up by her aunt. The sea and deep woods fostered her unique sensitivity and open mind. Growing up, Kylie learns by chance that her father is not dead and gives her a mission, a mission to become a "hunter" and then find him." Hunter", the most beautiful profession of this era, after many challenges, only the best are granted a hunter's licence, with which they can survive more freely in this dangerous world. Following in her father's footsteps, Kylie embarks on a journey. It was a difficult journey, but Kylie's instincts led her to the most important companion in her life, me, Kathy. We met at the hunter's exam. Although my special identity to Kylie happened in less than a year, the connection between us did exist. We were bound tightly together by several risks and deaths. To Kelly, I was an integral part of him and we complemented each other. Kelly was impulsive and I was calm.
The story revolves around an island, named "Vigilance Island", which is full of strange animals and where the hunters' duty is to find the animals that are harmful to people and kill them. This is an extremely easy task for Kylie as the forest gives her peace and the sea embraces her and gives her strength. Kylie has helped me a lot here. She has lit a small fire in my heart, she has a great sense of justice and explosive energy and I am always amazed by her keen instincts and occasional bursts of brilliance. One evening, during a hunting trip, Kylie broke into the hills in pursuit of game. As he was about to catch a wild dog, a vicious wolf arrived, and by then Kelly had run out of ammunition. So he turned tail and fled, but the wolf, with an empty belly, was unwilling to give up the taste that was in his mouth. So the man was in front and the wolf was behind him, he ran as hard as he could and he chased after him. Suddenly, the wolf bit one of the hunter's legs, and the wolf fell into the trap. Kylie was holding on to the tree for dear life and the wolf was biting the man's leg for dear life. What to do, let go, fall into the trap together and will die together. If he didn't let go, his strength would soon be exhausted, and with his hunting experience, the wolves were coming soon. Kylie pulled the hand saw from her waist and made a split-second decision, sawing off her own leg, which had been bitten by the wolf. Both the wolf and Kylie's leg fell into the trap and it was Kylie's impulse that saved her. Like Kylie, everyone has greed. However, if we fall into the wolf's mouth out of greed, do you have the courage to saw off one of your legs。
week 5
Tut activity 1 -Brainstorming session

For this exercise, I have chosen to represent the idea of my inner world, a quiet cafe in my heart which is decorated in black and brown. The cafe has many floor-to-ceiling windows where one can sit and watch the pedestrians walk by and see the cars passing by. It is a place where you can leave the worries of the day behind, which is why I call it a second space.

Assessment 1
week 7
For Assignment 2 I have designed a poster which will include a one point perspective of our model for this assignment, a two point perspective and a short introduction. In this poster I have chosen to enlarge the space of my model so that the audience can see it more clearly and I have chosen a lighter colour for the base of my poster so that the audience can follow the steps of my presentation while looking at the poster.

week 8
Model making
For this modeling assignment, I chose to design a study room that in my imaging world. This room is not very spacious and luxurious, but it allows me to enjoy alone time and immerse myself in the sea of books. The study in my mind is a room which filled with the special aroma of paper, the wall facing me is a wooden cabinet with full of books and decorations, which is installed on the whole wall and divided into individual Small grid. When I fill it up with books, it acts like a "book wall". I need to climb the ladder to get the book I want. On my left is a whiteboard to record daily events. For me, who is easy to forget, this can be said to be a must for my "ideal" study. To make the content on the whiteboard clearer, I installed two spotlights on the wall above. The spotlight will be white iron with a yellow glow so the design will give it a more textured look and I can adjust the angle to suit my needs. When I'm reading on the couch next to the cabinet, I adjust the spotlight to my comfortable angle. Speaking of the sofa, when I designed it, I placed it at a 45-degree angle of the study so that half of my body was against the "book wall" and one side was against the whiteboard. It is convenient to record sentences on the blackboard. On the right is the large locker fixed to the wall, as a cd collector, all the memories and classics will be treasured. There is also a column of storage compartments below it, which will store frequently used things such as pen and paper. The cabinets are made of white elm wood. Elm wood is simple to process, relatively strong and wear-resistant, and is the best choice for making light-colored bookcases. The light wood color will make people feel warmer and more comfortable, and it is more suitable for my imaginary study room. The floor covers a large area, I will also choose elm wood. The red elm has high economic value. As the main color, the color is lighter and more in line with the needs. In this "in the 2nd space" environment also affects people mood, this time, reflected furniture to put, the importance of furniture color. The study is the place that the family learns, read, job, let oneself can enjoy that halcyon reading time in coming home or it is job, writing. The study belongs to the outspread that is studio, need quiet and comfortable a kind of state. so. Among decorating a study, the tonal that uses must be comfortable, and be in harmony with other bedroom even, such ability reveals those who give life breath is thick. On metope lie between empty do bookcase wear, saved the space on the ground, book, data is put neatly in bookcase wear, and bookcase wear and desk close more convenient we put take book or data.
week 10
This week our group discussed the design of a poster in which we placed the annotations of our model for this assignment and we named the space 'Prayer Space'. The poster is divided into a design concept, a commentary, a sketch section, a detail section and a presentation of the final product. Why did we name it 'Prayer Space'? First of all, the design is a combination of the three members of our group, describing a space of a meaningful nature. This model was created by combining the different ideas of our team members. We thought about how we could integrate our ideas to achieve our concept, and we also wanted to make the whole space seem more abstract, more vivid, more resonant and innovative to the audience.

reflection section
In this semester, we have learnt a lot about buildings that I normally see in my life but don't think about deliberately. For example, in the second week, we looked at two different buildings staircases. The difference between the two pictures is obvious. In the first assignment I wrote that my inner world was a quiet cafe, which was written out of my personality as a heart activity. However, I think the area that is lacking is grammar, as an international student I need to improve my language skills. In the second half of the course, we learnt about modelling, we used value cardboard and a glue gun, and for the second assignment I used a study-like design which I named 'Second Space'. I have my own chair and shelves of things I like. But I think the model needs to be improved, the colours are not bright enough. And there was not enough storytelling, and when I made the poster, the font and the text put on the poster was not clear enough to let the audience know clearly what I wanted to say, which is something I have to improve in my future assignments. The third assignment, we were a group of three and this assignment combined the ideas of all three of us. The good thing was that our group would always communicate with each other and solve problems together, but the bad thing was that our group did not have a clear division of labour, which led us to finish the presentation at the end.

concluding
Spatial design is truly professional when you are able to take into account the different design variables in different directions so that you can influence the final expression of the space. Spatial design is an area that we see a lot in our lives and it is used a lot. After this lesson I will be more aware of what is going on around me as a qualified designer.
