- hands-on experience creating a prototype under tight time constraints

- design of a tool using existing products and anthropometric data as a precedence study

- sketching concepts and creation of preliminary part drawings by hand

- crude massing of an early prototype design using foam

Project Scope

- using a set of provided hammers, take reference measurements and design a new handle that is superior to any of the existing products

- create a hand-sketched part drawing of the design to aid in creation of a physical prototype

- create a foam prototype using various hand tools

- evaluate the design

Constraints

- the handle must be created from a single 2"x2"x10" piece of foam
