I grew up about an hour from Palm Springs and never knew much about it, other than it was hot and had nice soccer fields.

Once I was an adult and living in San Diego, I became more aware of, and later fell in love with, its architecture, history, and overall good times to be found there.

Now that we're in Oregon, a week or two in Palm Springs has become a common day dream for me. The relentless sun, oven-like heat, bright colors, modern style, and wide open spaces all sound quite heavenly when you're enduring Oregon's long, wet winters under grey skies. 

This deck of cards is a small homage to the modern iteration of that oasis, which has brought me so many good memories and promises more to come.
