We had to stay home during the pandemic, but Raya must go on. Property developer Matrix Concepts wanted an engaging Raya festive campaign, so we came up with the ‘Keluar Dari Rumah’ contest, getting participants to share wacky short videos about celebrating Raya from home.
We shot the entire video remotely, and had to source for the right talent for the eccentric tone of the video. It was hard to maintain quality control when they were shooting on smartphones
in their homes, so I just went with it and ended up editing it in a frenetic, fun home video style. Having limited resources at the time, I had to fill in some scenes and record some sounds on my own at home.
The contest video garnered 230k views for our client, and I was amused by some impressive submissions from very sporting participants!
