Watch Project (Watch me slowly die of frustration)

Watch Project
My job was to make a photorealistic watch using vector graphics. I chose a fairly simple watch and wanted to focus on making the metal look real and the shadows and highlights accurate. I tried to keep the watch simple yet realistic.

Sketches
I chose a watch and started sketching specific aspects and details. I knew the details were going to determine if the watch was going to look realistic so I went very in depth with where and how the shadows and highlights looked. After sketching I figured out what angle I wanted the light source to come from and how that would affect the watch.
1st Draft
In my first draft I was getting down and figuring out the basic shapes and just starting to try and play with shadows and highlights. I was able to receive some feedback on my project and started to work on making it look more realistic by adding more detail to the metal and adding texture to the watch band.
Final Draft
In my final draft I have added some texture to the band, worked on the lights and shadows in the medal and gave it a more realistic look. If I were to do this project again, I would focus more on the stitching in the band. I was so focused on the metal that I did not realize how difficult it would be to make the stitching look realistic.
