In this graphic design/professional practices project delivered whilst in university, I was tasked with generating conceptual advertising material for ‘Jeanne d'Arc au bûcher’ directed by Àlex Ollé, a contemporary production heavily inspired by the French heroin Joan of Arc and sharing the prominent themes associated with the historic tale.

The image deliverables I had to create were a range of various print ready and digital advertisements following a strict brief that aligned specific requirements for each graphic. Hypothetically producing my deliverables under English National Opera House (ENO), I had to follow a structured approach when developing the style and necessities of my graphics.

Firstly, by understanding the styles and themes of previous designs that ENO have used previously and how I would make my artwork fit in to their identity, as well as incorporating the ENO brand guidelines set in the brief, such as specific fonts, compositions, and logos.
For my artwork, I included symbolism that I associated with both the contemporary adaption and the well-known representations.

My intention for this design was to create a powerful visual signifier that was in-line with the themes and visual symbols expressed in the production.
