De Coyote Buttes Bowl is een fruitschaal uitgewerkt in een combinatie van drie verschillende materialen: polystyreen (dikte1,5 mm), aluminium (dikte 1,5mm) en triplex (dikte 3-3,2 mm). De fruitschaal is vertrokkenvanuit plaatmateriaal met een afmeting van max. 0,25mĀ² van elk materiaal.Ā
Hij bestaat uit acht lagen, er zijn drie hoofdlagen waarvan steeds de uitgesneden onderdelen worden hergebruikt als een individuele laag. Voor de esthetiek ben ik gegaan voor een fruitschaal met een luxe, moderne maar toch organische uitstraling die opgaat in het interieur.Ā
De naam van de fruitschaal is afkomstig van het wildernisgebied Coyote Buttes dat deel uitmaakt van de Paria Canyon-Vermilion Cliffs Wilderness gebied. Ik heb dit gebied ook gebruikt in mijn moodboard. Het gebied omvat dramatische wervelende erosie rotsformaties. Hier heb ik mijn inspiratie uitgehaald voor de verschillende lagen te maken. The Coyote Buttes Bowl is a fruit bowl made of a combination of three different materials: polystyrene (thickness 1.5 mm), aluminum (thickness 1.5 mm) and plywood (thickness 3-3.2 mm). The fruit bowl is based on sheet material with a size of max. 0.25mĀ² of each material.
It consists of eight layers, there are three main layers of which the cut parts are always reused as an individual layer. For aesthetics, I went for a fruit bowl with a luxurious, modern yet organic look that blends into the interior.
The fruit bowl's name comes from the Coyote Buttes wilderness area that is part of the Paria Canyon-Vermilion Cliffs Wilderness area. I also used this area in my mood board. The area includes dramatic swirling erosion rock formations. This is where I got my inspiration for making the different layers. (April 2022)
