Wintersession 2014
This gown was inspired by an ancient chinese folktale about a young woman who, to prevent a thief from stealing a pill of immortality, accidentally swallows the pill and is banished to the moon for eternity. I wanted to create a piece that was delicate yet elegant to mirror the tragic tale of the moon maiden.
