South Africa’s cities are deeply segregated along racial and financial lines. As the cost of living in the cities becomes more and more expensive the Western Cape Government has taken the step to move forward with an inclusionary housing policy. The aim of the policy is to make it possible for people who earn less to live in good locations, closer to their workplaces, especially for those crucial workers responsible for the day to day running of the city. We thought it would be great to break down the policy visually so viewers and critics could understand why such a policy was necessary.
