CONCEPT NOTE :

Inspired from the gardens of the Mughal era, the collection Qurbat is a portrayal of bonding with families and reminiscing the times when the Rani ( princess ) and her sakhiya ( friends ) used the courtyard of the forts as the perfect setting of playing board games like pachisi. This was the time of the day when the sun was setting, the aroma of enchanting flowers like lilies and roses mesmerized the surroundings with its charm.

The Mughal gardens have been identified as 'a place of paradise'.  A paradise which was an escape from the harsh world as well as a place of closeness to each other's loved ones. The Mughal era has provided a glimpse into the royal and fascinating window of 'flora and fauna' and how these gardens looked. The influence from Mughal paintings, like natural elements, richness in setting and the feeling of gathering together has stayed a source of inspiration for the collection.
