A wall decal illustration I've created for EngageRocket – a SaaS startup offering a suite of Human Resources products. I've been tasked to create an illustration that reflects their company's UNICORN values.

Previous layout exploration
The initial proposal was a layout that was less structured with the idea of having the UNICORN values float in a galaxy. Refinements were made thereafter as the overall look is haphazard and the blobs used overwhelm the main visuals.

First draft
The first draft I done featured unnaturally odd shapes and proportions, and an idea that was too ambiguous and impersonal. The design approach I had in mind was abstract in having 6 personas to each embody a UNICORN value or a combination of which instead. I decided to forego facial features to achieve a minimalistic or "artsy" look, if you will, but it might have fallen into a pit of uninspiring Corporate Memphis illustrations.
