Richard Rodgers Amphitheater
Cooper Robertson Architects redesigned the bandshell in Marcus Garvey Park in Harlem, NY. Renamed for the legendary theater music composer, Richard Rodgers, the new amphitheater adds a larger stage and canopy that accommodates a wide variety of events.
The goal was to create a simple identifying sign for both sides of the Amphitheater. With a small budget in mind, a four-panel sign was designed in reference to the new architecture of the amphitheater. The four pieces were fabricated from one piece of 4’ x 8’ sheet of aluminum.
