The idea for this material took a long time to mature. Originally, the original idea appeared eleven years ago, while living on the banks of the Vistula River in Poland (the biggest wild river in Europe), away from civilization. Only the proposal to take part in the Fonomo Festival in 2019 mobilized me to do so by the distant already realized time.
Each piece is related to a certain kind of places, people and ghosts that have become a direct inspiration for me. Bringing people who passed away with sound, down to memories and emotions, forgotten instruments became the foundation of the whole album. The title of the album was taken from Elżbieta Jabłońska's work "Disappearing", while the original into English allowed me a special kind, suggesting the musical terms according to which the entire album was built. (blocks in the keys DIS minor / major and also in A major; PP - piano pianissimo as the moment of entry and exit, while the last combination of EAR - as a symbol of intuitive creation).
An integral part of the album is the created video that illustrates each of the tracks. The shots and events in the film were created during the yearly world watching me. A film made in the style of Slow TV, where the choice of static dynamics appears on the screen, and the grass and trees moving in the wind, or the flowing river build tension, emotionally tint and complete the whole. The element that binds all the shots is the figure sitting with his back to the camera, the viewer and the creator, who draws inspiration from what he sees, hears, and feels.
