As Director of Landscape Architecture at FORREC, Cindi led the landscape design and actively participated in the interior design for the multiple award-winning Niagara Parks Power Station. Celebrating the birth of hydroelectric power, the design brought to life the compelling story of one of the first major electrical power plants in the world. With technology designed by Nikola Tesla and George Westinghouse, the Plant was meticulously preserved and restored as part of the project, including the original circular driveway which served as inspiration for the entrance plaza, built as Phase 1 of the Landscape Master Plan.
Based on the diagram for Tesla's original Patent for Alternating Current, the landscape plan tells the story of the power of Niagara Falls, in all its many forms, in human history, from Indigenous villages that surrounded the Niagara river, to the present day.
