"Amour Noir"
This album cover mockup was made for the artist Smino for his latest album titled Noir released in 2018. It was created on photoshop and illustrator with some images that I found online.
More details about the process found below :).
This is my album cover and vinyl shown so they can be looked into with more detail separately.

The image on the left is the vinyl cover which was made in photoshop and some in illustrator. I first started off with cutting out the parental advisory sticker within illustrator so it could later be imported into photoshop. I then went into photoshop and used the magic wand tool to select the people and get rid of the background in the image. Next, I used the eraser tool to clean up any mistakes that the tool made and to make the lines look a lot cleaner. I then went in with some filters and added the text over their faces.

Secondly, there's the vinyl disc. First I used illustrator to cut out the logos of the producers in white. Next, I began adding in the text in the same font I used for the cover. Lastly, I used the elipse tool and wrote on the curve to create the words that go along the outside of the center of the vinyl. The actual color of the disc is the same color of the yellowish drinks in the background which I turned the opacity down on to show that the vinyl would be slightly see through if purchased.
"Irish Roses"
This video is of Smino (singing) and Ebonee Davis (being sung to).

I made it in photoshop using the timeline tool. First, I started by finding a video I felt went along best with the album covers I made (see previous works for reference). Once I found the perfect video, I imported it into photoshop and began to add the text. I wrote out all the words he sang first, ordered it in the timeline tool, and then set them to pop up when I wanted them too. To do this, I listened to the video to make sure the words came as he said them. I then played with the colors to make sure that they showed up well enough. The words are written in the same font used in the vinyl cover!
"Kite Flight"
For my design class we had to make an advertisment using similes and metaphors. I chose the simile "high as a kite." I chose to make one for airports in general to encourage people to book a flight!

I have a slight obsession with album covers right now so I stayed on that theme. The background shown is from Drakes album "Nothing Was the Same." The kites came from the "My Boyish Days" by Care. The picture of Tyler the Creator wasn't from an album cover but was found as I was looking through his past album covers.

My first step was to import the picture of the clouds as the background. I then added the picture of the kites and used the eraser tool to erase the background so I was only left with the kites.I used the magic wand tool to select him and his luggage. I then went in to clean up the edges with the eraser tool. The magic wand tool had taken out pieces of his shirt so I went in and re-added them with the brush tool, color matching it with the parts of his shirt that were already there. I added the words in the same font as the GOLF logo (ariel black) and then layered it in a similar style.
"HowTo: Pounded Yam and Okra Soup"
This is a How-To on making Pounded Yam and Okra Soup which originated in West Africa and is one of my favorite traditional dishes. This was probably one of my most time consuming projects.

The different ingredients were made with importing textures, shape tool, trace tool, and gradients. I made the yam with the drawing tool and importing different textures similar to that of the yam. I did this with the soup and the maggie cube in step 3, and the black pepper as well.

I used the gradient tool for the foil part of the cube (the bottom and the "i" logo on the right side." I also individually made the different parts of the salt and pepper shakers, the blender, the water, knife and the pots.

I made the cutting boards and the maggie cube with the 3D tool and then rotated them. I found a wood texture for the cutting boards in google which I then imported into each side of the cutting board.

My last step was to label all the ingredients and add text to the different steps.

"Interior Shapes"
This is an interior space I created with the inspiration of a project I did with colored pencil in one of my classes.

I started this project in illustrator to create the interior and all of the shapes individually and coloring all of the shapes to create the illusion of space. I then saved it as an ai document so that it could be imported into after effects to create the short video clip.

Once I got into after effects, I split up the different parts of the image and made it so that it would look like the sun was setting and rising. It took a little reordering of the layers but it worked and I love it!
