Introducing the Jelli M1 mask designed by KOODESIGN. This was a fast-tracked development project that brought a new product from concept sketch to pilot production in less than six months.

As we all continue to adjust in this time of mask-wearing, something that adds to the strangeness is not being able to see people’s faces. That’s where the Jelli M1 mask comes in. Expressions and emotions are normally covered by a mask, but with its transparent covering the Jelli M1 mask lets people see your face, your expressions and your personality more clearly. The Jelli mask offers a design solution that’s both highly functional and fashion friendly, with multiple colorways to suit different personal styles – from the office to casual style to light outdoor exercise. It also enables those who need to see a person’s mouth (such as hearing impaired lip-readers) to communicate more easily.

The Jelli M1 mask leverages KOODESIGN’s experience designing goggles for global swimwear brands. With a clear anti-fog surface, comfortable ergonomic fit and stylish shape, the Jelli mask is so clear you can unlock your phone with it. Using polycarbonate material offers the best quality transparency, while the profile is shaped to reduce reflection. Vents on the cheeks and below the chin allow air to pass through without moving directly in or out of the nose and mouth. The silicon gasket around the mask bezel was tested at multiple durometers to ensure durability. And it won’t fog up your glasses. Tweaked to find the best fit, the mask is customizable and designed to comfortably follow the contours of the face. It is also easy to clean and intended to be reused many times, to reduce waste and environmental impact.
