Soft-Armchair/Stool Design For Memphis Milano

The Memphis Group is a design and architecture group founded in 1980 by the Italian designer Ettore Sottsass, headquartered in Milan. Memphis, which contains many different design insights, is a postmodern design movement. The Memphis Group has a passionate perspective based on shape to create an emotional response. In the materials used in the designs, laminate and ceramic materials generally found on the floors were included in the tables and lamps. Bright multi-colored objects are used, in which typical shapes are rejected. Simple geometric shapes in designs; solid colors combined in thick, contrasting palettes; There are stylized graphic patterns, defined by black and white lines and abstract wavy lines.
We would like to unconsciously tighten balloon-like, ball shaped soft structures. This movement allows us to establish an emotional bond with the object. The sensitivity of the object affects us while we interact. In this context, I wanted to see what effect a soft armchair-like product would have on us in the process of designing my design. The product I design with the Memphis style and features was created by combining simple geometric forms with different materials.
