Campfire Stool
This campfire stool was created as a project for a CNC class, the focus of which was to demonstrate the function of several different kinds of CNC machines. One of the most focused-on machines was the "Crawlbot," a large CNC machine that can drill and etch wood. This stool was created using one profile created in Fusion 360, which the Crawlbot cut out ten times. The stool itself is made out of MDF and is assembled using four threaded rods, forty small circular spacers, and eight nuts.

A number of pictures showcasing the angles of the campfire stool. The many curves of the stool are meant to serve as four different ergonomic seats.
The campfire stool's profile was initially created in Fusion 360 and laser cut in foamcore to verify its size. Ten MDF profiles were cut out using a large CNC machine called the "Crawlbot." They were then sanded, sealed with Mod Podge, and spray painted.
The stool's Fusion 360 profile. The tool path for the Crawlbot was processed and simulated in Fusion's manufacturing environment.
