Aces for Bushfire Relief

Referred to as Black Summer, the 2019 bushfire season was one of the most catastrophic in Australian history. The fires that tore through the country devastated roughly 30 million hectares of land, claiming with it thousands of homes and hundreds of lives.
As thick smoke blanketed greater Sydney, professional tennis players from around the world competed beneath the haze in the first ever ATP Cup. With the attention of the world on the country, Tennis Australia took the opportunity alongside many of the players to create a fundraising initiative in the hope of providing relief to both victims and emergency service workers affected by the fires.
Pledging to donate $100 for each ace served at the tournament, 'Aces for Bushfire Relief' continued through the 2020 Australian Open and managed to raise over $5,000,000 for those impacted.
