I started this project in September 2013 and finished the entirety in January 2014. I decided to focus on the gorgeous Rembrandt Lighting technique and developped my work by looking at the complexity of twins. What makes them so similar and different (physically as well as personality wise)? I have always found this facsinating and attempted to answer this question in my pieces. This theme is very close to my heart as I am myself a twin and in fact, all the pieces are based on my sister Marina and I.
