Task 1
Chosen image
My inspiration came from my kitten, I think kittens give off such a warm and homey feeling. Therefore, I wanted to incorporate it into my scarf as it would ooze the feeling of coziness and warmth. I chose to outline the whole cat’s body because he was posing in a very cute way and I didn't want to just include his face. However, that took me a while as I chose to do the whole body and include significant detail.
Task 2
Once I completed the outlines of the shapes, tonal mapping was pretty fun and very fast. Firstly, I selected and filled the shapes with highlights, mid-tones, and shadows. Then I chose my colours, mostly all from the same colour group, then I played around with the textures with no set boundaries.

I then began to smooth over anything i did not like, adjust the shapes and colours.
Task 3
Chosen background

For the scarf design, I played around with the effects and decided on not doing much as the kitten already looks busy enough and I wanted to make it visible and stand out. I chose a picture I had taken of a lake in Egypt with sand however I cropped, to showcase the sand only this coordinated with the kitten's colour pallet. which is why I chose an image with minimal colour. I then placed the kitten in the corners and moved it around to get the perfect angles and then I added the kitten in middle and repeated it.
