Bandung Polytechnic of Design and Built Environment is a vocational school dedicated to the study of design, particularly architecture, interior design, and graphic design. The school's approach of "educating within the environment" hopes to inspire environmental awareness in the students' design process.
The campus grounds are surrounded by 3 public parks, with the closest one being Panatayuda Park (C). In order to implement the school's approach, the outdoor public area (7) was designed in a position where it connects to the park.
The school has 3 access points to accommodate various users, including public visitors, students, and the school staff.
The school's layout was designed to be comprehensible by setting different zones for students and the school staff. Vertically, the ground floor up to the 3rd floor are accessible to public visitors, while the 4th floor and above are allocated for learning facilities.
Several outdoor areas, including a public area and two students' lounge, were designed on campus to further implement the approach of "educating within the environment" by bringing nature closer to the students.
