Tropical is the concept design of this duplex apartment project. A young family with 4 kids wanted an apartment that would make the most of the space but that would also allow them to have some private space for random activities. The use of white gravel with greenery colours the living area and enhances the feeling of a tropical vibe. The use of invisible doors are integrated to the decorative wall to fulfill the minimalist style.
Various types of lighting are planed through out the building, such as general, technical, ambient and decorative, from which the customer chooses the atmosphere he or she desires. The lighting is calculated to provide the necessary lux standard, not just aesthetics. The lux standard depends on how much lumen is given from the light source to the area.
